God never promises you tomorrow...

A few weeks ago our family lost Deidra's brother Lamar Liddell; I don't know why this happened or what we are to learn from such a great loss.  The last time we spoke, he asked me to create a shadow box for his daughter Luciana.  He sent me picture after picture; yet I chose these three.  They just show how much he adored her.  So often we take people around us for granted, I let time get in the way of finishing this for him.  I let time get in the way of visiting him; I so regret not renting a car when I was in Rhode Island to see him.  I let time get in the way of me getting on a plane to hug him.  I let time get in the way of calling him more often.  I let time get in the way of meeting his wife and daughter. Yet, I know the last time we spoke I told him I loved him and I was so proud of him. My collages always have hidden meaning in them, some more obvious than others.  I enjoy creating these for my friends and family, yet this one, brought both sadness and joy to me; I was sad because I still cant believe he's gone and joy because I knew he adored his little girl and he lived his dream. I will not take life for granted or let time pass; I tell my daughter and my husband I love them more often; and I don't let the silly things in life get in the way of my time with them.  Someone told me, "God never promises you tomorrow."  I love you Lamar...

Live, love, laugh, bark... 2013

It's been one whole year since I blogged last, I love reading blogs and for a time in my life I loved blogging and sharing my life and love of scrapbooking. This year I have decided to participate in Prima's BAP & PPP; in the past year I have finally found my scrapbook style.  I love all things layered and collaged.  I like girly grunge and destresing my pages and projects.  The other day while working on Valentines Day cards and decorations for the house, I realized I enjoy getting lost in my world of paper.  It's so relaxing and I'm really good at it.

Here's Prima's January BAP &PPP... Let's see what I come up with.  The last pictures is a little piece of my life!

Hello 2012

Its been a 366 days since my last blog and I have missed it... 2011 was made up of work and more work, I found I will never be perfect and I will never be caught up. I have missed so much in my personal life for work... I cleaned out my scrap space and i am in the process of organizing my house to keep it clean. Mr. B and I have agreed on who will do what ... With four dogs and a 21 year old it's been a crazy life. Mr. B will be having survey this month and I have to make my family priority.
Happy New Year 2012!

Tag Tuesday... Christmas Leftovers

I have been working a lot these last few months and it's been hard to do what I enjoy so much; play with paper!!! I love "Tag Tuesday" challenges and I figured I would get back to them each week for the next 52 weeks. (2011 goal) This week's challenge is to use Christmas leftovers; paper, ribbon, etc..

I often save ribbon and cute Christmas decorations from gifts. This is what I pulled form my stash and attempted to use.

Here is my tag, I love it!!! It feels good to be back... Happy New Year!!!

Mr. Kingstone... Harry would have loved you!

Happy Birthday Mr. Bletzer...

It has been a long time, I have been really busy with lots of projects... a special Happy Birthday to Mr. Bletzer who has been a doll and I am so glad he was born! I have finished up a few more G45 projects...

I bought this clothes pin kit from The Jule Box and I made two with another small clothes pin I had; I love the was they both came out. I have a new obsession for the G45 Domestic Goddess Paper; hence my June Cleaver week.

Here is the Halloween Tag, I made for a swap I am participating in at The Scrap Beach. I made ten of these beauties. I am very happy with the end result, I am not a big Halloween person, this was all inspired by my trip to Salem, MA... the witch is a vintage image I got off the Internet.

Finally, Lady Dei has been wanting a jewelry box and I altered this box I had laying around with my very favorite G45 Halloween In Wonderland ... this line is awesome! Her box came out really cute and I made my own flowers using a tutorial from Jaded Studios, she has some awesome YT tutorials, not only is she awesome but she is a DT member for G45!!!

Well that all I have, I look forward to a fantastic week with NO DRAMA!!!
